Where the Blue Fern Grows: New Homes Are Now Sprouting in Shoreline and Ballard

Seattle is a great city with a lifestyle unlike any other. It’s no wonder our hometown continues to hit the top of national “Best Cities” lists—Best Places to Live in the U.S., Best Cities for Young Professionals, Most Dog-Friendly Cities, and Most Walkable Cities, to name a few. It’s also where the Blue Fern grows. While our available Seattle townhomes from Blue Fern Homes are being plucked off the market, our new homes are also sprouting in Shoreline and Ballard.

It seems that as soon as we build townhomes, they are picked by eager homebuyers who are looking for the style, location, and features we offer. Blue Fern Homes has embraced the diversity of Seattle’s neighborhoods, to give people the lifestyle experience they want. From the elegance of Queen Anne to the eclecticism of Ballard, we’ve been blooming all over Seattle’s most sought-after areas.

Only 2 remaining in Queen Anne

Currently, our Eastlake and 3rd Avenue townhomes in Queen Anne are sold out. We have 2 townhomes still available on 5th Avenue North in Queen Anne: 1916A and 1916B. Each home offers more than 1,500 square feet of interior living space. Two of the 3 bedrooms are situated on the first floor, with the master suite on the third floor, just below the rooftop deck.

As with all of the Blue Fern Homes, we’re committed to BuiltGreen 4-star standards. So, these new townhomes feature energy-efficient appliances and a tankless water heater, which heats water on demand, saving energy and water. The durable, eco-friendly exterior is also designed for sustainability, as well as low maintenance.

Coming soon to Ballard

We love the Ballard neighborhood! You’re never at a loss for something to do, no matter what kind of “something” appeals to you. The Nordic vibe here is a reflection of the deep history of this port area. In the 21st century, it has grown to become a spirited area of fun-loving people. A highly walkable district, Ballard is the perfect place to shop, dine, explore history, join in the outdoor entertainment, and find your favorite nightlife gathering place (or several favorites, because there’s a big choice).

This month, we’re launching our new Ballard community on NW 53rd Street. Blue Fern Homes is planning townhomes built to our high standard, ranging from 1,540 to 1,800 square feet. These units offer 3 bedrooms and up to 3.5 baths, and include all of our BuiltGreen features. You’ll enjoy the view of this vibrant area from your rooftop deck, too—a private retreat for your morning coffee, catching Seattle’s fresh air, and ending your day under a starlit sky.

Our Ballard community will also include 4 single-family homes, a rare find in this area. More information is coming soon. Let us know if you want to be sure to get the details as soon as they are available.

If our previous Seattle experience is any indicator, these new Ballard townhomes will sell quickly. Contact Blue Fern Homes now to get the one you want.

Shoreline townhomes on the horizon

Now, we’re moving forward (and geographically upward) to Shoreline, 12 miles north. We’re finalizing the details on the luxury townhomes here. The location is convenient for a Seattle commute and you can be sure the townhomes will continue our tradition of creating a lifestyle, not just building a home.

We will have more details to share soon. Check back here or sign up to be among the first to see where the Blue Fern grows.

With the current pandemic, Blue Fern is taking careful steps to protect the health and safety of our customers and team members. We have intensified the cleaning protocol in our homes and offices, and we're limiting showings to private, in-person tours. Virtual home tours are always available, too.
